Einfach Bauen | Thomas Auer
ETH Zürich
The construction industry is under increasing pressure: rising energy demand, limited resources, and growing climate requirements are reshaping how we design and build. These challenges highlight the need for approaches that are both efficient and environmentally grounded.
Thomas Auer, professor at the Technical University of Munich and for two decades managing partner at Transsolar, is internationally recognised for his contributions to climate-responsive design. His work links architecture with building physics, promoting solutions that are simple, robust, and closely aligned with environmental performance.
In his lecture, he will explore how a clearer, climate-oriented design mindset can support more resilient and resource-conscious buildings.
